Scentsy Story
Welcome to Jacqui’s Scented Cottage and My Story.
If you’ve found your way here, thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and why Scentsy has been such a huge part of my life for the past 15 years.
My name is Jacqui, and I live in a little countryside cottage in the Staffordshire/Shropshire border with my husband Tony and our much-loved Golden Retriever, Bonnie. If you followed me for any length of time, you’ll know that Bonnie is very much the boss of the household!
I joined Scentsy back in 2011 when it was just launching in the UK, and honestly, I had no idea then just how much it would change my life.
At the time, I had been a stay-at-home mum for several years, caring for my daughter who had many health challenges. I needed something flexible that fitted around family life, hospital appointments and all the unpredictability that comes with caring responsibilities.
I was also incredibly cautious about fragrances. My daughters airways were triggered by smoke, aerosols and strong fumes, so the thought of bringing lots of scents into our home felt daunting. But when I discovered that Scentsy warmers simply release fragrance without a flame, smoke or soot, everything changed. They were the first home fragrance products we could use without causing any problems.
That was my lightbulb moment! ~ and I was hooked.
What began as a love of fragrance soon became so much more.
Over the years, Scentsy has brought me friendships across the world, opportunities I never imagined possible, and a business that has supported my family through some of lifes greatest highs and hardest challenges.
In 2014, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. It was undoubtedly one of the most difficult periods of my life. Through chemotherapy, surgery and treatment, my Scentsy family wrapped around me with support, kindness and friendship. The flexibility of my business allowed me to continue working in a way that suited my health, and for that I will always be grateful.
Today I am proud to be a SuperStar Director, the highest title within Scentsy, and still pinch myself when I think about how far this journey has taken me.
One of my greatest joys has been building Team Angels Global ~a community of wonderful people who support one another, celebrate successes together and create friendships that go far beyond business. Some team members simply enjoy Scentsy as a hobby, while others build thriving businesses of their own. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and that’s exactly how I believe it should be.
My philosophy has always been simple: encourage, support and cheer people on in whatever their goals may be.
Along the way, Scentsy has taken me to incredible places including New York, Mexico, cruises, Cyprus, Greece and Rome through incentive trips I earned. But truthfully, the things I value most aren’t the destinations, they’re the people I’ve met and the memories made.
These days, life has come full circle.
Tony, affectionately known as my delivery boy! (he absolutely loves me calling him that!), is now retired, and together we enjoy the quieter things in life: gardening, countryside walks with Bonnie, cosy evenings at home and, of course, filling our cottage with beautiful fragrance.
For me, Scentsy has never just been about wax and warmers. It’s about creating a home that feels welcoming, making connections with people and building a life filled with friendship, kindness and simple pleasures.
